Making money online is not the easiest thing to do, in fact it’s easier said than done, there’s lots of competition out there, plus being online was not really my thing.
I am now in my sixties, at the time I was more the type of having a front store and do publicity in the news papers to bring people to my store. Online maybe wasn’t my thing at that time but things change.
After working for myself for the last 40 years, I started in my early twenties doing all kinds of stuff had 4 stores many employees, close all that after 20 years, only because I didn’t had the eye of the tiger anymore.
So I started doing Real Estate for another 15 years, can’t say it was not a good business for me in fact it was real good.
But the online business marketing is something that always have interested me and the reason I like it so much, is that you can do this business from wherever you are in the world, as long that you have an internet connection.
If you’re the type that likes to travel, it’s excellent especially is you like to be gone more the just a couple of weeks per year or if you’re the type that likes to work whenever you feel like, that is an excellent reason.
If you don’t like to be told what to do again, it’s an excellent business to be in because you call the shots. If you don’t like to punch a clock, well that business is excellent for you.
In fact if you just don’t like working for someone else and want to ESCAPE the 9 TO 5 Rat Race, this is an excellent Business.
So many reasons why you should try to do this business, I would say that the key to succeed in this Digital Marketing Online Business is to have good coaches that will teach how to succeed, this the main key I would say for someone that doesn’t have too much or even with some experience, it’s the perfect business. Like me lol.
Once you found the niche you want to work in, find the right coaches or peoples that you can trust to guide you, then there’s no reasons for you not to succeed.
FOCUS
And be focus because as a beginner, it will be hard not to jump from one shiny object to another always thinking that it will be better somewhere else but trust me, it’s not easier.
I have done this so many times, don’t forget there are professionals peoples out there and they know how to get you in there Funnel, so you can spend lots of money before you realize that the business you are in won’t work .
I know, I did it, I have tried so many things, I got to a point I just wanted to abandon everything. Really, it is not easy, especially for me who is not too much of a technical type. I had to learn lots of different tasks over the years because most of the courses, I have bought were too overwhelming, too much information and it just got me nowhere.
I just got lost without any map to follow, you need something simple to follow with good mentors and you will be fine to start. But the good thing is, after all these years trying to make this happen, it finally paid off .
The number one thing, I would recommend is to find the type of business you really believe in. Whatever you want to do start, to check Online different things that you would like to do once you have found the right niche, then do some research on the topic and go for it.
Now do not fall for these peoples, who are saying things like “come and see how I made $1,000,000 $2,000,000 or what ever figure they say they have made, there are so many scams out there, it’s unbelievable. Trust me, I’ve paid lots of money on so many different courses, it’s crazy.
Clarity of purpose, makes it easier for you to reach your target . It also makes it easier for you, to start your business when you have a road map.
If you can become clear on you “WHY” – and own it – then people will find it easier to get to know, like and trust you – and ultimately “buy in”.
Why you want to do this business, what are you goals .
Some people want to have an extra income.
Some people want to have their own business.
Some people just want to work for themselves.
Some people want to supplement their retirement income.
Some people hate their job.
Some people just want to travel more and work from wherever they are traveling.
So many reasons.
Where To Begin
I would recommend to start with a business where your sales funnel is done for you, so you would not have to worried about all that tech stuff and just drive traffic to your funnel, I will explain what is a sales funnel.
What is a Sales Funnel?
The Sales Funnel Explained in a simple way.
A sales funnel is a way for you to capture leads and eventually to get them converted into buyers.
Having your own funnel, on your own domain name is what I recommend.
But the nice thing is, that when you can join a company that will create the funnel for you, so you would not have to worry about all the work involved in building it, well that’s a lots of time and learning curve saved.
A sales funnel consists of severals parts:
Landing page
Where your leads register for more information by providing their name and email. Part of your setup, will be to buy a domain name – this page is the first page that someone will see on that domain once your sales funnel is built. To generate leads, you will only have to promote this link. This link should be the only link you ever share, once your funnel is build to generate leads.
The Thank You Page
Immediately after being registered on the landing page, leads are taken to this page, where they can watch a replay of the webinar that you are promoting (I use this as an example) it could be any other offer.
Once they have registered to your webinar, you will capture their email and then they will receive a series of emails, that your funnel system will send to all of your leads, on your behalf. It is not necessary for you, to email your leads because the system does it all for you.
That is what a “done for you sales funnel” is all about in a small version. A sequence of emails already prewritten for you, will be sent to all your leads.
This is what we call is an automated email campaign.
So you will not have to write all those emails and have to pay for Aweber or Getresponse or any other provider to manage all these emails, it’s all done for you with your own funnel.
Now doesn’t that sound great, you bet it does, that is a big part of the online business that will be done for you, so your main job will be to redirect peoples to your landing page and this will be your online business, well part of it.
Now don’t get me wrong, of course there’s more to it but as a beginner, you will find that this is very helpful and it will save you lots of time.
